Kathy is a strong believer that everyone deserves to live their best life without fear of going or staying in debt!  

Kathy recently started her own consulting/coaching business, Financially Armed LLC. Financially Armed believes that everyone should have the opportunity to be financially healthy and on their way to begin to build toward financial wealth!  

 

She is an Accredited Financial Counselor and a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor and has over 25 years of experience working in the financial services industry. Prior to starting Financially Armed LLC, Kathy was the Financial Education Professional at Hawaii State Federal Credit Union providing financial education to employees, members, and community. 

 

With over 25+ years of banking experience, she focused her efforts on assisting credit unions. She began her credit union career in 2010 at Hawaii Credit Union League (HCUL) as the Member Relations Manager / Business Development Director, where she managed the sales and services initiatives generating revenue to benefit the members of affiliated Hawaiian based credit unions. At HCUL, Kathy initiated and implemented an innovative project to certify credit union employees as Financial Counselors to assist members experiencing financial hardship. 

 

As Financial Reality Foundation’s Program Director overseeing all credit unions in Alaska and Hawaii, Kathy coordinated and administered all aspects of the Get REAL Financial Reality Fair program and, by partnering with credit unions, successfully educated over 30% of Hawaii and 40% of Alaska high school seniors annually on the benefits of budgeting.  

 

Kathy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications specializing in Broadcast Journalism and her Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry. She shares her life for 22 years and counting with her King on earth, Rev. Jerome Morris, USMC (Ret). Kathy co-parents with Jerome, and they have three adult children currently living financially healthy lives.
